This book was D*mn good with a Capital D. I really enjoyed reading it! It was an intriguing, suspenseful, and sexy ride. There are twists and turns, which will leave you guessing and gasping. A lot happens in Capital D, but it’s tastefully written, the drama isn’t over the top, and there’s never a dull moment. Taber Blake is Delicious with a Capital D. He’s sweet, caring, and loving. He’s strong, protective, and powerful. He will have you swooning, especially when he works his mojo. You will never question his devotion to Silka, even when their relationship hits a few snags. He’s just an all-around good guy. Silka Fontein is a Delightful heroine with a Capital D. She’s strong, confident, and determined. I loved her wit and her ability to joke during the bad situations. She can be extremely stubborn, and she drives Taber crazy sometimes, so she is totally awesome!!! This is a great book and it has everything: romance, mystery, suspense, awesome characters, and so much more. I do have to say there was a part of me that couldn’t connect to the story and felt that some parts seemed a little impersonal – more matter-of-fact – but I didn’t feel that way most of the time. Besides that, I really loved it! I loved the humor, the characters, and especially the passion. Let’s just say I will probably never look at another chocolate bar in quite the same way… Curious? I guess you’re just going to have to read the book! Capital D does end with a HEA and while it’s not a cliffhanger ending, it does let the reader know the there’s more to come. I know I Definitely with a Capital D cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!!

For an unpublished manuscript I am very surprised that this has not been officially released. The descriptive wordings and the connection with the characters feels so real your mind is completely lost and taken to a whole new world. The storyline keeps the reader on edge and never has a moment to which a reader will put the manuscript down. This has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have come across in my career as an editor. My only advice would be as this is a true masterpiece of professional, emotional and exquisite work this will need to be marketed with the right channels in order to gain a fan base and success. I would strongly advise that all your future projects are as descriptive and in depth as this particular manuscript has been. The Author has not only exceeded her own expectations but she has the eye for each detail that some upcoming authors will easily forget, a true masterpiece here and one that I shall personally be adding to my collection

Thirty-four year old Silka Fontein returns to her hometown after 15 years and reunites with her childhood friend, Taber Blake. Instant attraction immediately rises but both of them have secrets that are literally catching up to them. Determined to put an end to the imminent dangers, Silka and Taber team up and set out on a thrilling adventure.I loved the sophisticated-looking cover art and the subtle title; I really didn’t know what to expect of this novel when I began my reading. Both main characters, Silka Fointein and Taber Blake, are well-conceived protagonists, memorable and dynamic with sharp dialogues. As a fellow female, I admired Silka’s intelligence as well as her sense of vulnerability. Besides adventure, the story had the right amount of touch of thriller and romance as well. The action scenes are exceptionally well-portrayed and exciting; it is obvious that this particular element of the story was well-researched. From start to finish, it was a fun, fast-moving ride. On the other hand, the writing style is quite simple and does give out glimpses of the author’s raw attempt of a first book here and there. Even so, the great story line and the detailed descriptions of the surroundings, buildings and characters more than make up for this small flaw. The Author is certainly on the right track with “Capital D” to build her own bright future in the writing industry. Thrill seeking readers definitely should give this novel a go.Reviewed by Lit Amri for Readers’ Favorite

BEST BOOK BLOGGER - NAT’S BOOK NOOK: Rated it 5 of 5 stars
I have been dying to tell you about the only book I have read a thousand times and will read a thousand times more!!! Capital D is mentally stimulating, beautifully and intelligently written, challenging, and realistic, but fun read. It’s packed with everything you want in a book. It boasts a cast of movie proportions with the strong, gorgeous male lead that comes to the rescue of the strong, confident female lead who is every man’s dream! Silka returns after she disappeared 15 years ago. Just as she gets to grips with her sudden attraction for her hunky childhood friend, there is an attempted kidnapping. She is unwilling to accept Taber’s help and is determined to find out who is after her and why, all on her own. So starts a globe trotting adventure from one country to another in search of the truth. She is unexpectedly joined by Taber and later they are joined by his gorgeous friends. As the cast grows, the plot thickens and the real danger begins. Secrets are exposed and lives turned upside down. Just when things seem to go from bad to worse, another twist is added. Apart from a range of characters to swoon over, there is also the hated ex-girlfriend, the super cool boss, and a woman who is a very disturbing replica of my mother-in-law!! (dude, seriously?) Throw in a healthy dose of goofy friends that are walking clichés and some multi-national bad guys and you have a timeless book for the whole world. If you don’t like something about this book, you are not intelligent enough for it, and should stick to picture books. (Just saying) Only impotent grouches that are void of emotion, have no sense of humor, and who suck the life out of everyone and everything will not like this book. There is something for everyone in it and it comes in a PG version too. There is action, comedy, drama, romance, erotica, mystery, suspense and adventure. Every time I read the book I discovered something new! I have absolutely no doubt that very soon I will give this book a Guild Review with the highest rating ever attained because IT IS THAT GOOD! I give this 5 GALAXIES, because 5 stars just don’t do it justice.

From the book title I had no idea what to expect. The Author’s excellent slow burn start sets up a non-stop pile-driver guns-blazing high tech thriller that grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and dropped me off at the last page, thankfully in one piece and still breathing. This slick tale of two friends reuniting after 15 years apart – the sexy Silka and the handsome muscle-bound Taber – leaves me in no doubt that this author has found a niche for her amazing talents. Move over Lustbader and make room for Johnstone the new kid on the spy block. If you like spies, sighs and naked thighs – and there’s plenty of naked thighs I might add – then this book is right up your street. I was also impressed by the Author’s use of the movie and glamour world to describe the action and thoughts and there was no doubt that this book had been well researched from infamous gangs, terror groups, weaponry, technobabble and all the various spy networks competing out there. I particularly liked the Jagger/Faithful moment. I will not divulge on the story as it is a secret until the book has been opened. So what are you waiting for, download this FIVE STAR globe-trotting sexy spy thriller and discover what Capital D really means.

“Capital D” by Ash Stone is a fast paced and gripping action packed thriller about two beautiful people of the opposite sex who have not seen each other since their high school days. Now they are hugely attracted to each other and while Silka and Taber try to get closer to each other a sudden kidnapping attempts leads them into the middle of a complex web of crime. What appeared at first a romantic chick lit novel about Silka and her troubled relationship with her mother turned quickly and surprisingly into a fascinating spy thriller with great action and suspense. I read the PG version so the erotic contents of the romance were played down, but the chemistry between the two main characters is still very believable and one of the strong points of this novel. The story about rich and beautiful people, daring and powerful gangsters and heroes, this is an explosive and rewarding read.
